Student Ministries

Centennial Covenant Church exists to glorify God by following Jesus on a shared mission of transformation in His mission to our broken world.  That, in a sentence, is what we are all about at this church, and also in the student ministries of CCC.

Every Summer, our high school students embark on a journey of discipleship, community, and adventure in the mountains of Colorado.  We call this experience the annual Adventure  Trip.  This year we are doing something fresh and different.  The Adventure Trip is going car camping.  Our base camp will be the Red Creek Group Camp Site just outside Gunnison, CO.  This is a part of the state the CCC Student Ministries has not gone to before.  Our campsite will be on Red Creek and less than a mile from the Gunnison River and Red Mesa Reservoir.  Because our national youth convention, CHIC, is also this summer, we have made the trip shorter and cheaper :)  Register below and we are excited to see you for Adventure 2018!

Middle School Adventure 2018

Sunday June 24 - Friday June 29

@ Covenant Cedars

For Students entering 6th - 8th grade next year.

WHAT: Our annual middle school summer Adventure Trip

WHERE: At Covenant Cedars Bible Camp, and ECC camp on the Platte River in Eastern Nebraska.

WHY: We are joining two other front range covenant churches, along with campers from churches across the conference, at the Cedars junior high week of camp.  Our leaders will be the cabin counselors for our students during this epic week.

HOW: Register on the Covenant Cedars website (NOTE: list “Centennial Covenant” as you “Requested Roommate” so that all our students are placed in the same cabin.

COST: $330 before April 1st.  $350 after April 1st.  This is paid to Cedars through their website.  You will also be able to put money onto your students camp store account.  Plus, there is a $100 transportation fee to cover the cost of van rentals to get us there and back.  The $100 can be paid to CCC either via check.

A few years ago we realized something.  We realized we need to offer a middle school version of the Adventure Trip.  One guiding concept for these trips is that we consistently bring student into new, challenging experiences.  This year is no different.  We are joining up with other front range covenant churches and going to one of our beloved ECC camps, Covenant Cedars.  Check out their website to get a taste for the week and sign up now for what I think may be the best middle school adventure trip yet!

FAQs About Student Ministries

There are four main spaces where we seek to cultivate this journey of transformation:

1) Studio72- this is our weekly, Sunday night, youth event.  There are separate events for middle school and high school students with all students joining for worship and sometimes for other activities.

Middle School - 6:00-8:00pm in the middle school room

High School - 6:00-8:00pm in the high school room

2) Retreats and Special Events- The High School Fall Retreat, Faceplant (the middle school winter retreat), Powderburn (the high school winter retreat), and many other special events throughout the year like: Escape, worship and prayer nights, or trips to Water World and Elich Gardens.  See the Events page for more info.

3) Summer Adventure and Missions Trips- every summer we offer one or two trips.  These trips are focused on strengthening our community's focus on Christ, then expressing that in service to communities local and global.  See the Events page for more info.

4) Throughout all of these experiences students will be invited to join and grow healthy, transformational relationshipswith a small group of their peers and a leader committed to going with them on this journey.

5) Finally, we strive to do all of this as an integrated part of the CCC community. Students regularly help lead Sunday morning worship services, volunteer in the Children's ministry, serve on church ministry teams, and are invited to be part of church events large and small.
