When we see our story as part of God’s bigger story, it reshapes how we view everything—our past and our future, our relationships, and even our resources. As N.T. Wright has said, “The whole point of Christianity is that it offers a story which is the story of the whole world. It is public truth.” Our lives, our gifts, our money—they are all woven into that larger narrative of God’s redeeming work.
Scripture tells us, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it” (Psalm 24:1). Nothing we have is really our own—it is all God’s, entrusted to us to steward for His kingdom. When we give, we are practicing Kingdom Abundance: trusting that God’s story is larger than our own, and that sharing what we have brings life, healing, and growth beyond what we can see.
