Benevolence:
You may know that CCC has a healthy benevolence fund overseen by our Benevolence Team. Benevolence simply means, “Acts of kindness and goodwill for others.” This fund and team are dedicated to helping meet real, felt, physical, and practical needs for the people of CCC and for our local communities. All monies for the benevolence fund are raised outside of our regular budget giving. However, the Pastoral Team is often highly involved in the Benevolence process. In partnership with our local ministry partner, Love INC, we think of benevolence as a ministry of redemptive compassion. The goal is not simply to meet short-term needs, but to partner with people to see God work in their lives and bring them to a place of sustainable wholeness and health. When you support the general fund of CCC, you are helping sustain a ministry that directly impacts the lives of many, often in the most desperate circumstances of life.
