Ever wonder where your dollars go when you give to CCC? Here’s a glimpse of the outreach, connection, and transformation you support with every gift.

Centennial Family,

I came across a quote recently by Steve Maraboli from his book Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience, “Want to keep Christ in Christmas? Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, forgive the guilty, welcome the unwanted, care for the ill, love your enemies, and do unto others as you would have done unto you.”

It’s easy to get so caught up in the “idea” of Christmas – or in some of the cultural arguments about how this holiday should or shouldn’t be observed – that we forget what Christmas represents. It’s a display of God’s love in the form of the humble birth of Jesus.

As a church, we want to make sure we keep the Christ in Christmas by living as his hands and feet to the world. When you give to the general fun, you help keep that purpose front and center in the way you are helping provide financial, relational, and spiritual help to those in need through our direct and partner ministries. You are helping sustain this community where people find friendship and community. You are furthering Christ’s disciple making mission. These are the works of our humble savior.

Moreover, we also have two special ministries that run year-round but are worth mentioning right now. Our Benevolence Fund is run by our Benevolence Team and provides a means of giving financial help to the members and friends of CCC who face a particular difficulty. You can give to the Benevolence Fund here by selecting that option from the dropdown menu. Or simply write “Benevolence Fund” in the memo of a check.

Second, our Rent Assistance Fund was launched during Covid. It is designed to ensure that people who are at risk of losing their home can stay in their home. Many studies have shown it is far more expensive to help someone get into a new home than it is to keep them in their current home. This fund is powerful and is run in connection with our partner ministries Love INC, North Littleton Promise, and The Masters Apprentice. You can donate to the Rent Assistance Fund here by selecting it from the drop-down menu, or writing “Rent Assistance Fund” in the memo of a check.

Regardless of whether or how much you give to our general fund or these special funds, it is a joy to be part of a community committed helping others in the same way as our humble savior Christ did.

Grace and peace,

Karl Helvig
