How are you doing? After having NOT turned on the sprinklers all summer, I’m afraid this week we will finally have to turn them on, given the heat we are anticipating. But it is summer, right?
Well, speaking of heat, the heat is on with some of our ministry partners: stuff is coming up and we have due dates for some exciting events! Please READ ON!

The Love INC BACK to SCHOOL EVENT is Saturday, July 22!
So here’s what you need to know:
If you or someone you know would like to sign up to participate in the FREE school age clothing giveaway – you need to SIGN UP by this Saturday, July 15 by clicking here, or call 303-794-LOVE. Shopping vouchers are limited, RSVP HERE!
What this means is that those clothes you haven’t brought to the church to leave in the box by the Welcome Center yet, need to be left no later than Sunday, July 16th!

Would you like to help with the event?
Click HERE if you’d like to volunteer on Satuday, July 22. You can make snow cones, monitor the bouncy house, distribute backpacks, set up or clean up….there’s all sorts of ways to help!
The first is North Littleton Promise and its dire need for drivers for their 5 week summer camp that started this week with 35 elementary and 11 middle school students enrolled! What a wonderful blessing! Now we need to bless the program with adequate drivers for the field trips they are taking the kids on…..please especially look at the dates available to see if at least one might work into your schedule.
Last date to drop clothes off at church is Sunday, July 16th!

From the North Littleton Promise Newsletter: DRIVERS NEEDED
We are taking our Summer Camp elementary kids swimming, to museums, on a hike, and to an indoor obstacle course. This is a big highlight for our students and our biggest volunteer gap right now. We really need help getting them to the fun! Here is the link to sign up and the dates we need driver/chaperones. There are half days and full days, but there is flexibility to drop off and pick up only, if needed.
HALF DAY, 9:30–12:00 SHIFT: 7/26
HALF DAY, 12:30–3:30 SHIFT: 7/19
FULL DAY, 9:30–3:30 SHIFT: 7/13, 7/20, 7/25

Praise God for:
- We as a team have produced the name of the Youth Center: Aco House. It is dually short for Aurora, Colorado and pronounced Aye-Ko. As well being an acronym for A Christ Operation. But a beautiful and awesome thing the team learned that in the Bible there is an Acco like our name that is a port. Much like that, we want to reflect a port in our center. Being a place students can come land and be sent out from. As well serving a predominately Spanish speaking community it is spelled Aco and pronounced “Ah-ko” in either Portuguese or Spanish.
- We are so excited to share that we have gotten all the necessary permits which means that the Youth Center is coming together and will be completed soon! More exciting details to come.

The most important news right now is that MOPS will be having their Fall 2023 Kickoff Meeting on Wednesday, August 23rd, so Moms of preschoolers, put that morning on your calendar. You are sure to hear more details soon!
