Centennial, we have 2 very time sensitive events to draw your attention to today:

The first is North Littleton Promise and its dire need for drivers for their 5 week summer camp that started this week with 35 elementary and 11 middle school students enrolled!  What a wonderful blessing!  Now we need to bless the program with adequate drivers for the field trips they are taking the kids on…..please especially look at the dates available to see if at least one might work into your schedule.

From the North Littleton Promise Newsletter: DRIVERS NEEDED

We are taking our Summer Camp elementary kids swimming, to museums, on a hike, and to an indoor obstacle course.  This is a big highlight for our students and our biggest volunteer gap right now.  We really need help getting them to the fun!  Here is the link to sign up and the dates we need driver/chaperones.  There are half days and full days, but there is flexibility to drop off and pick up only, if needed.

HALF DAY, 9:30–12:00 SHIFT: 7/26

HALF DAY, 12:30–3:30 SHIFT: 6/28, 7/5, 7/12, 7/19

FULL DAY, 9:30–3:30 SHIFT: 6/29, 7/6, 7/13, 7/20, 7/25

Praises and Prayers:

Praise God for His work at NLP!

  • Sending Kristine Cross to be our new Operations Manager
  • Providing an amazing next step for Ashley Ray, as she and her husband Sean head to Lithuania for missions work!
  • Calling an amazing summer staff to work with students this summer
  • Providing some grant opportunities for NLP to fund next steps

Please pray for:

  • Summer field trip drivers so we can accept kids on our waiting list
  • Funding for our next steps including favor with foundations for grants
  • Key volunteers to help us plan Fiesta

The next time-sensitive date is the clothing drive for the Love INC Back to School Event which is July 22nd.  So all those used but still good clothes you’ve been collecting to drop off at church for the kids ages 5-18?  We have a drop box in the Church Welcome Center, right by the Welcome Center HUB. Please bring those clothes you’ve stacked up to the drop box and we will get them sorted and turned into Love INC!

If you would like to contribute but do not have previously used clothing you are welcome to drop off new items for the children.

Last date to drop clothes off at church is Sunday, July 16th!

A new 6 week session began on Monday, June 26th.  37 students have begun the program!  The largest class ever in the program!  Praise the Lord!

Prayer Requests:

Please pray for focus, motivation and dedication in the students.

Please pray for energy and creative teaching methods for the 20+ volunteer coaches (including 4 from CCC) as they adjust to larger teaching loads and more personalities in the classes.

Thank you Centennial for your prayers, volunteering and donations to our ministry partners! You are the hands and feet of Jesus serving our community!
