“Jesus said, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of harvest to send out workers into his harvest field.’ (Lk. 10:2). An important part of our ministry with Frontiers is to pray for, mobilize, and send workers into the Lord’s harvest field. This summer, Lynda and I attended a gathering of more than 1,000 of our field workers who serve in the Muslim world.
“Since our organization now includes people from over 50 nationalities, the conference required a translation effort that looked like a mini-United Nations!
“While we were there, one of our missionaries came to me and said, ‘You probably don’t remember me, but you spoke in my Perspectives class several years ago. God used you to call me into the ministry I’m doing today (reaching Muslims in southwest Asia). Thanks for using your gifts to serve the kingdom.’ It was encouraging to see evidence of how God continues to work through the Perspectives missions course and how the Lord is using our ministry.”

A project becomes a COMMUNITY!
Poverty has been defined as “a lack of choices,” and inability to change life circumstances can lead to debilitating feelings of hopelessness, uselessness, and despair. Gary and Mary Lou Sander, serving in Columbia with the Evangelical Covenant Church, spend much time countering this sense of worthlessness by bringing GOOD NEWS to people who others have cast aside.
They write: “In a recent newsletter, we shared about an all-day gathering with those involved with the Hands with Hope and the Cuivida Foundations around the theme of “Healing the Soul”. Through this event and ongoing projects, God’s love is mending hearts from past hurts. It is so exciting that many are growing in their faith and are hungry to go deeper in what it means to be His child, as they participate in Bible studies and devotionals.
Thank you to those who have been praying with us about the possibility of a new church plant for the people from the project in coordination with the El Shaddai Covenant Church. As we leaders have been listening and praying to God about a new church plant, the Spirit spoke saying, ‘Invite these ladies and families to an already established Covenant Church.’ So, we all did.

At the recent 28th anniversary celebration of the El Shaddai Covenant Church, we saw some of the families from the Project in attendance. God has answered our prayers in his ways as Carolina, Valeria, Bibiana and Yamile who are being nurtured and cared for by the El Shaddai church family and they are inviting others to join them.”
