The truth about haggis.
Haggis are shy, reclusive, animals indigenous the highlands of Scotland. Its two right legs are shorter than its two left legs, so if it runs counterclockwise on a hillside, it will tumble down and can easily be caught. Haggis is most often served with plain “neeps and tatties,” that is, turnips and mashed potatoes, so that the exceptionally piquant flavour of the haggis is most highlighted.
You can sample haggis at a Nibbles and Meet with Mary Lou Graham on August 25 after church! Mary Lou and Roy live near Edinburgh, Scotland and minister throughout the UK in areas of spiritual formation and church renewal. Since 2000, church attendance in the UK has halved; currently around 8.4% of the population are members of a Christian church.
The Graham’s work is vital, and their needs are large! Increases in the cost of living, visa renewals, and tax hikes have put a very serious strain on their finances. Learn more about their work in a “post-Christian” country during and following the service on August 25. Also, they have sent two video updates on their personal and ministry lives.

Bill O’Byrne, team leader and founder of Imago Christi, has also recently sent a video update. Bill coaches leaders and missionaries in all Imago Christi Resources, provides spiritual direction and leads retreats on request, and presents at Discovery events internationally.
The video recaps the O’Byrne’s ministry in St. Petersburg, Russia, the formation of Imago Christi, and their return to the States in 2015 to lead the growing international ministry of Imago Christi. Centennial’s own Steve Thulson gives a glowing testimony for the effectiveness of the Imago Christi resources for contributing to spiritual growth and transformation!

GETTING INVOLVED
We believe that there are 6 primary ways to get involved in Global Mission.
Nobody is designed for all, but all of us are designed for at least one.
Learn
There are a lot of resources to help us learn more. Try reaching out to the missionaries we support to learn more about them and contact our Global Team for more resources.
Pray
Prayer and Intercession is one of the most vital ways we can participate in God’s Global Mission. Try “adopting” one of our missionaries and commit to praying for them regularly.
Welcome
With the ease of International travel and communication, we have seen an increase in internationals visiting our country. This is a great opportunity to engage and create life-giving relationships with them. Try visiting an ethnic restaurant that you haven’t been to and get to know the staff or volunteer to host students from other countries.
Send
Giving of our resources is a very effective way of supporting ongoing missions across the world. Try supporting a missionary financially on a monthly basis or being a source of encouragement and support for them.
Mobilize
Advocating for our missionaries and encouraging others to get involved. Try getting involved in CCC’s Global Team.
Go
“Go” is the most traditional understanding of involvement in Global Mission. Try going on a short-term or mid term trip with CCC.
