Ever wonder where your dollars go when you give to CCC? Here’s a glimpse of the outreach, connection, and transformation you support with every gift.
Centennial Family,
In this Sunday’s sermon, we will see Jesus once again emphasize God’s heart for justice. Theologically speaking, the reason any human ever longs for justice is that they are made in the image of the God of justice. In making this emphasis, Jesus echoes and continues the long history of God speaking to His people through prophets, calling us to join Him in His mission to transform this world into a more just and caring place.
This heart for justice has been central to our shared life at Centennial Covenant from the beginning. It shows up in many ways, but here are a few of the significant ways we try to live lives committed to the justice and righteousness of God:
Ministry Partners:
- North Littleton Promise builds life giving relationships with immigrant kids and families to foster faith, education, and leadership in Christ-centered community.
- Love INC offers a holistic approach to caring for people in all areas of life: spiritual, mental, emotional, relational, material, and physical. They work often with the most vulnerable in our community, but also help all people live flourishing lives.
- Masters Apprentice is a pre-apprenticeship program designed to help motivated individuals from low-income backgrounds start rewarding careers in trades.
Consider volunteering with one of these amazing ministries!
CCC Ministries:
- Our Benevolence Fund provides financial support to those (primarily from within the CCC community) who find themselves in financially challenging circumstances. You can donate to the benevolence fund here by selecting “Benevolence” from the drop-down list of funds.
- Our Rent Assistance Fund works with individuals and families sent to us by one of the three ministry partners listed above. Research shows it is always better to keep people in their current home rather than help them find a new home. That’s the design of the Rent Assistance Fund: to prevent people from losing their home. You can donate to the fund here by selecting “Other” from the drop-down menu and writing, “Rent Assistance Fund.”
I share this for two reasons:
1.Every dollar you give to CCC helps support all these ministries, either directly or indirectly (or both!).
2.As was said last Sunday and will be said again this Sunday, these are matters of great importance to the heart of God, so they should be of great importance to us as well.
May we continue to be a church committed to the justice and righteousness of God in and through us!
Here is a snapshot of our current finances. May God continue to bless and support the ministries of Centennial Covenant, and may we remain committed to pursuing His justice in our community and our world.
Grace and peace,
Karl
