Hey Centennial,

I want you to consider a question that might be challenging to answer honestly. It could be challenging both because it requires us to think a little more deeply about our lives, and because it requires us to name some things that could be hard to name.

When have you told yourself “I’m not enough”?

Take a second. Try and answer honestly. One reason I ask this question is because, as far as I can tell, all of us tell ourselves some version of “I’m not enough” more often than we like to admit. Whatever your answer to the question, one thing is certain.

You are not alone in thinking or feeling this way.

And this is not a new thought for humans. Turns out, Jesus’ own disciples seemed to be infected by a “Not Enough” mindset. They were chosen and invited by Jesus himself and they still wondered whether they were enough. If you have ever struggled with “Not Enough” thoughts, then I hope you gather with Centennial Covenant this Sunday as we encourage one another with corporate worship, center our lives of Christ through prayer, and form ourselves more to the way of his Kingdom. You might even consider whether there is a friend, neighbor, or colleague you could invite to “come sit with me.” The data continues to show that people are more interested than we assume in faith and spirituality.

Grace and peace,

Karl
