Hey Centennial,
What has God been saying to you lately?
I know, whenever we say something about “God talking” or sensing a “leading from God”, it’s important to acknowledge something. Most people don’t hear audible voices or get a questionably clear direction. If that’s you, you’re normal! At the same time, many people can come up with a good answer to the question, “What do you think God would want here?” Or “What do you think scripture teaches about this situation?”
Which is precisely why we have been engaging the practice of journaling during worship over the past month. Considering the things you may have written in your journal – or simply thought about during a worship gathering – I’ll ask again, what has God been saying to you lately?
My great desire is that every one of us would make that question more common and the practice of creating space to answer it more regular.
This Sunday we finish Matthew chapter 13, The Sermon of Kingdom Parables.
The aspect of the kingdom we will really dig into comes from the final parable in the chapter. We will ask the question, “What does it mean to be righteous?” The answer might be bigger than you imagined!
As always, there’s a lot going on around CCC and lots of way to get connected with community or engaged in service. See below for more details, here are a few highlights:
